About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Implementation Specialist to join our team at Charles River Development, a part of State Street. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of sophisticated trade order management and compliance monitoring systems to the fund management industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of trade order management and compliance monitoring systems
- Provide technical consultancy services for clients and their CRD Account Managers, including software installation, configuration, and testing, problem investigation, database configuration, tracing, and performance analysis
- Provide technical consultancy services for systems integration
- Design and develop solutions for additional client requirements
- Travel extensively to client sites in London and the EMEA region
Requirements
- Experience in at least one major DBMS (MS SQL Server or Oracle), including installation, configuration, and development
- Good knowledge and experience of PL/SQL or TransactSQL (MS SQL Server) and complex SQL debugging and optimization
- System interfacing and integration
- Proven development experience in Java and/or C#
- Development experience in web services, Crystal Reports, XML messaging, Excel VBA, and Perl.NET would be an advantage
- Exposure to working in financial services, front- or middle-office, or fund management business areas is ideal
- Experience dealing with users or clients from either a technical or business area
- Comfortable making presentations covering business, technical, or sales
- Detailed knowledge of project phasing and reporting, on-site delivery, systems support, operational procedures, batch processing, system sizing and capacity planning, system backup, contingency, and disaster recovery, and regional roll-outs
Education and Qualifications
- Third-level qualification essential, ideally a technical bachelor's degree
- Fluency in a European language highly desirable
