LGT Capital Partners is a leading global specialist in alternative investing with over USD 100 billion in assets under management. We are seeking a highly skilled Big Data Solutions Architect to join our team of experts in designing and implementing cutting-edge data solutions.

About the Role
  • We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in big data solutions and data engineering to lead the development of our enterprise-wide data platform on Microsoft Azure and Snowflake.
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and operating data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Snowflake, as well as managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-code.
  • This role requires close collaboration with the scrum team to estimate, plan, and deliver platform features that meet business requirements, working alongside the Product Owner to drive innovation and growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Big Data Solutions: Utilize Azure Data Factory and Snowflake to create scalable and stable big data solutions that extract data from multiple source systems.
  • Manage Cloud Infrastructure: Leverage Infrastructure-as-code to manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
  • Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with the scrum team to estimate, plan, and deliver platform features that meet business requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a data engineer, preferably in the finance or technology industry.
  • Strong skills in DevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Docker, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with migrating on-prem data warehouse systems to the cloud is valuable.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills in English.
