Job Description

The Private Markets financial operations team at LGT Capital Partners is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Investment Controller to join their team. This role will focus on investment controlling, including activities such as coordination with global teams, relationship management, and monitoring and analysis of investment-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with global teams on investment controlling related activities
  • Manage relationships with internal teams and stakeholders
  • Monitor and analyze investment-related activities for various private equity programs
  • Reconcile monthly valuations prepared by the administrator
  • Supervise and maintain work performed by third-party external service providers
  • Prepare periodic reports for private equity programs
  • Forecast and manage cash effectively, and measure performance of private equity funds
  • Complete ad-hoc and recurring investor requests as required
  • Participate in various projects and initiatives

Requirements

  • Accounting or finance degree or qualification
  • 5+ years of experience in private equity accounting/controlling/reporting, preferably in an open-end fund in an operational role
  • Developed IT skills, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Infrastructure experience is a plus
  • Fluency in English and German
  • Challenging mindset with a desire to understand the impact of various investment transactions on private equity programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated with ability to meet demanding deadlines
