Digital Health Innovator Role in Humanitarian Field

At Médecins Sans Frontières / Ärzte Ohne Grenzen, we are seeking a skilled Digital Health Innovator to join our team in Geneva, Switzerland.
Job OverviewThe selected candidate will support the Medical Technologies and Innovation Unit in coordinating technological initiatives related to medical devices, digital health solutions, and innovation. This role involves providing administrative support, project assistance, and platform management for our ThinkUP platform.
As a key member of our team, you will contribute to advancing medical technologies and innovations that benefit people affected by armed conflicts, epidemics, natural disasters, or exclusion from healthcare.
Responsibilities- Administrative Support (30%): Assist the unit in organizing meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and archiving meeting documentation. Manage information such as unit archiving and be the focal point for online platforms like Kompas and Share Point.
- Project Support (40%): Provide ad hoc support to the Digital Health Advisor and Medical Technology and Innovation Coordinator. By delegation, support specific projects through direct interaction with stakeholders to advance topics. Undertake background research pertinent to certain key projects or thematic areas of importance to the Unit.
- ThinkUP Platform Support (30%): Act as the owner and moderator of the ThinkUP platform. Ensure the platform is up-to-date, update regularly on projects, engage with community members, design campaigns, and participate in weekly innovation med tech unit meetings.
- Master's degree in a subject related to the Medical or para-medical professions, Design and Technology, Innovation, Humanitarian or Development Studies, or other relevant degrees.
- Strong proven interest in technology and innovation related to health.
- No specific requirements in terms of work experience, but having some form of employment in the past is considered an advantage.
- Capacity of analysis and synthesis; planning and organization; knowledge of key issues of the humanitarian environment; excellent writing skills; excellent knowledge of MS Office tools.
- Fluent English and French (written and spoken).
- Team player; ability to coordinate with numerous stakeholders; ability to work autonomously; pro-active and solution-oriented; flexible and capacity to adapt quickly.
- A tripartite internship agreement is mandatory.
- 6 to 12 months, according to internship agreement.
- Full-time (40h/week).
- Based in Geneva, Switzerland.
- Gross monthly remuneration: CHF 2,000.-.
