About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our team at Tecan Austria GmbH.

This challenging role involves managing indirect spend globally, focusing on cost savings, supplier consolidation, and transparency of the spend.

You will be responsible for the procure-to-pay process in indirect goods and services, driving automation and digital solutions. Your tasks will also include educating internal stakeholders on procurement processes, policies, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop procurement processes and policies regarding indirect spend
  • Develop spend analysis and category strategies for indirect spend categories
  • Identify and implement potential savings
  • Negotiate contracts that offer added value; support other organizational units in negotiations as needed
  • Build and maintain effective supplier relationships to ensure alignment with business objectives and performance standards
  • Implement actionable KPIs and regular reporting
About You

We're looking for someone with a strong background in commercial professions or universities, preferably with procurement education.

You should have at least 3 years of experience in strategic or project-related supply chain management roles, with a proven track record in negotiation and managing indirect procurement.

A minimum of 2 years of additional experience in project sourcing or indirect procurement is an advantage.

We value strong negotiating skills, good written and spoken English skills, and knowledge of SAP R/3, Coupa, and Excel.
