About the Job

In the context of expanding investment activity in its financial inclusion debt business line, responsAbility is looking to hire an Investment Analyst - Financial Inclusion Debt in Mumbai.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conducting independent research on debt investment opportunities in financial institutions in target markets in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Assisting senior team members on transactions, desktop and on-site diligence, financial analysis, and transaction closure.
  • Monitoring of and reporting on portfolio investments and the investment markets.
  • Contribute to the development of a gender-focused fund and support senior team members in:
    • Analytical work related to pipeline planning.
    • Creating dashboards on Excel and internal platforms for tracking of key portfolio metrics.
    • Brainstorming and handling project work around structuring, simplifying, and streamlining of existing processes.
    • Coordination between various internal functions as well as external stakeholders.
    • Preparation of quarterly reports and presentation.
  • Collaborating with teams located across Mumbai, Zurich, Bangkok, Tbilisi, Nairobi, and Lima.
Requirements
  • Post Graduate degree in business administration or finance or economics or a related field from a reputable institution. CA degree holders are also eligible to apply.
  • Years of experience in consulting or financial/investment management/credit ratings experience, preferably in the financial institutions sector (though not mandatory).
  • Skilled at analytical thinking, diligent in performing tasks, high attention to detail, and ability to bring structure and organization in processes are key pre-requisites of the role.
  • Good financial modelling and accounting skills.
  • Proficient with spreadsheets, and knowledge of Excel shortcuts (experience of Macros / VBAs would be favorably considered but not mandatory).
  • Good oral and written English language, and presentation skills.
  • High degree of initiative, reliability, and willingness to learn.
  • Transparency and interpersonal skills.
  • Interest and enthusiasm in the impact investments space.
