Job Summary
The Metal Parts Manufacturing Specialist at Safe SA participates in the production of metal components by pouring molten metal into a mold. This role is part of the manufacturing process, following the mold creation by the Molder and preceding all finishing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the mold is clean and properly loaded and clamped before casting.
- Calculate the required casting volume based on the parts to be cast.
- Prepare the necessary casting ladles.
- Verify the temperature of the casting at the furnace outlet.
- Manage ladles, including preheating and supplying them near the furnace.
- Fill bags and possibly perform metallurgical treatment on the bag (degassing, inoculation, etc.).
- Transfer the liquid alloy to the casting area.
- Pour the molds.
Required Skills and Tools
- Foundry furnaces.
- Ladles.
- Overhead traveling cranes.
- Perch.
- Temperature sensor.
Qualifications and Training
Employment is accessible with training at CAP level in Foundry Trades or Bac Pro Foundry. Training can also be carried out through apprenticeship.
