Gemmological Laboratory Coordinator

This role is responsible for supporting the Jewellery department's day-to-day functioning, particularly around the sale process for both auction and private sales.
Main Duties:- Manage Gemmological Laboratory testing, encompassing shipment coordination, departmental communication, and centralised testing spreadsheet maintenance.
- Label jewels upon receipt and whenever they change location.
- Arrange repair and manufacturing services as needed by the department, collaborating with jewellery workshops.
- Preserve records and generate purchase orders for the aforementioned activities.
- Support exhibition setup and jewel display.
- Contribute to preparing dealer viewings and exhibitions.
- Offer assistance in responding to client queries regarding condition reports and extra images.
- Assist in releasing items.
- Support clients with after-sales administrative and logistical matters.
- Evaluate and organize gemmological documentation following each transaction, distributing it to relevant parties for buyer delivery.
- Guarantee Strong Room organisation.
- Participate in regular inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies.
- Collaborate on updating system data to ensure consistency between physical and digital records.
- Oversee aged inventory initiatives.
