FICOBA seeks a seasoned Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join its Trade Finance team. This role requires a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in compliance management, specifically in the area of commodity trade finance.
In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of our trade finance operations are conducted in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and Sanctions laws. You will also be involved in monitoring and reviewing customer profiles, as well as maintaining accurate records of all transactions and interactions.
Your primary focus will be on reviewing new account applications to ensure they meet FICOBA's internal standards, providing support to the front office during the account opening process, and handling sanctions and AML alerts in a timely manner. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing KYC on counterparty banks, preparing files for reporting purposes, and participating in the quality assurance program of the compliance division.
To succeed in this role, you must have a strong understanding of Swiss regulatory requirements, including AML, KYC, CDB, and other relevant banking regulations. Previous experience in commodity trade finance is highly desirable, as is knowledge of FATCA/QI/AEI, Federal Financial Services Act (FinSA), and Financial Institutions Act (FinIA).
The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in law or business administration, as well as a certificate of advanced studies in compliance management or equivalent. They should also have 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar compliance role within a bank, including account openings, customer profile reviews, and formal analysis.
