About the Role

As a key member of the IT team at J. Safra Sarasin, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Oracle database infrastructure. This includes providing continuous support, troubleshooting, and implementing changes in line with our change management processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring efficient resource utilization and minimizing downtime.
  • Analyze and propose improvements to database configuration and application life cycles to optimize resource utilization.
  • Provide second-level support for database-related issues, including on-call service and incident management.
  • Design and implement automation solutions to streamline database operations and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to develop and optimize existing infrastructure and support migration projects.
  • Contribute to project planning and technical task execution, ensuring seamless integration with other teams.

About You

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Oracle database engineering and operations, with a strong understanding of Linux (RHEL) and AIX.
  • Knowledge of Postgres and MS SQL is an asset, but not required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage pressure.
  • Fluency in English is essential, with German language skills a plus.
