Global Event Planner

Job Summary:
This role requires a skilled professional to assist in the planning and coordination of international events related to climate change. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the IT and Logistics team in organizing events, including but not limited to the IPCC Sessions, Bureau meetings, Expert Meetings, Workshops, Scoping Meetings, Webinars, and IPCC events at the UNFCCC COPs;
- Assist in the preparation of event materials, including surveys, background notes, and reports;
- Develop and maintain internal planning tools and calendars to support strategic planning;
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including the host country team and the WMO conference unit;
- Ensure that all logistical arrangements are in place for events, including registration and onsite support for delegates.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree or equivalent in Business Management or Computer Sciences;
- A minimum of 2 years of work experience, requiring planning and coordination skills to handle multiple events in parallel under guidance;
- Experience in designing and processing surveys, writing reports, and synthesizing information, as well as familiarity with IT tools;
- Excellent knowledge of English (both oral and written); knowledge of other official languages is an advantage.
