Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Governance Strategist to join our team at TN Switzerland. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data governance frameworks and policies across various information systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data governance frameworks and policies to ensure consistent data quality and protection.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to establish data governance processes and procedures.
  • Own and act as the subject matter expert on data governance policies and practices.
  • Establish an enterprise data governance implementation roadmap aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Build and maintain an inventory of enterprise information maps, including systems, owners, and associated processes.
  • Partner with stakeholders to implement data governance solutions across the affiliate network.
  • Foster adoption of data quality standards, data protection standards, and adoption requirements across the enterprise.
  • Oversee relevant work and deliverables, coordinating with internal resources and external consultants.
  • Ensure adherence to regulations like CCPA, GDPR, and other data privacy regulations applicable to the organization and industry.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships in a cross-functional environment.
  • Create and own project budgets, ensuring assigned projects are executed within planned budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in structuring and managing data governance functions.
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in commercial/medical Pharma-biotechnology industry.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-leading data governance, data quality, and data protection management practices.
  • Knowledge of data-related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues.
  • Very proficient in all functions related to data governance applicable to the life sciences industry, centered around commercial and medical functions.
  • Hands-on Data Stewardship experience in commercial/medical life sciences domain.
  • Good exposure to industry-standard data governance frameworks.
  • Prior work experience on technology platforms like Collbra will be a plus.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams on various projects and processes.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization, leading resources within the organization as well as external consultants - onshore/offshore.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written), proactive, self-initiator, and collaborative attitude.
