As a Data Governance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring data quality, accessibility, compliance, and security across the Bank. You will own and manage the Bank's central data inventory and collaborate with business units to align data management practices with central data governance requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Drive and support the technical implementation of data governance processes and practices across the Bank.
- Support the technical implementation of the Bank's central data catalogue.
- Own and manage the Bank's central data catalogue to capture data lineage, definitions, and other relevant information. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and accessibility of the catalogue.
- Implement a data classification framework to categorize data based on sensitivity, criticality, and usage. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate and consistent data classification.
- Develop data quality standards to monitor and improve data accuracy, completeness, and consistency, ensuring data integrity and reliability. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to address data quality issues, ensuring data is reliable and meets the required standards.
- Establish metadata standards and guidelines to capture data lineage, definitions, and other relevant information, enabling effective data governance and decision-making.
