Job SummaryWe're seeking an experienced in-house lawyer to join our RDS Legal Team as soon as possible. In this role, you'll support various aspects of product strategy, development, and manufacturing within the PHCS network of Roche Diagnostics.
Your Key Responsibilities- You'll support international business projects employing considerable independent legal judgment, experience, and analysis.
- You'll provide strategic assistance and guidance on a variety of legal matters.
- You'll draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including collaboration agreements, development agreements, permits/licenses, software development agreements, supply agreements, research agreements, data privacy & cybersecurity agreements, and service agreements.
- You'll manage disputes and litigation arising from your assigned business areas.
- You'll interact with colleagues across Roche, to determine compliant yet practical legal responses and planning to meet business needs.
- You'll develop and present legal training on various topics of relevance to and in support of business needs.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Master's degree in Law (MLaw, lic.iur.) with admission to the bar (Swiss qualification preferred, but equivalent foreign qualification will also be considered).
- Fluency in English, and German is a plus.
- At least 5 years of professional experience (post-bar exam) in a multinational company or at a respected law firm, preferably in the life sciences industry (e.g. diagnostics, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industry).
- Professional experience in handling cases in R&D, business collaborations, licensing, supply and commercialisation, and data privacy; experience supporting CAP-accredited (or equivalent) CLIA-certified laboratories is a plus.
- Solid knowledge in the following areas of law: contracts, competition law, IT/software law, litigation/dispute resolution.
