Job Description

At RUAG AG, we are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out structural repairs on aircraft and components, as well as performing maintenance and modification work in accordance with relevant drawings and system specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out structural repairs on aircraft and components
  • Perform maintenance and modification work in accordance with relevant drawings and system specifications
  • Carry out composite work and composite repairs
  • Perform simple mechanical work
  • Carry out simple painting work
  • Supervise assigned orders and projects
  • Sign relevant working papers and carry out follow-up checks
  • Keep relevant activity records
Requirements
  • Basic technical training as an aircraft fitter, bodywork fitter, plant and equipment fitter or industrial fitter
  • Good PC skills (MS Office, Internet application) desirable
  • Reliability, ability to work in a team, flexibility and technical aptitude
  • Independent personality with a willingness to take responsibility, ability to work under pressure and a high level of quality awareness
  • Very good written and spoken English, basic knowledge of French or German
  • Experience in aviation is an advantage
