Main Responsibilities

As a Sheet Metal Aircraft Technician at RUAG AG, you will be responsible for carrying out structural repairs on aircraft and components, as well as maintenance and modification work in accordance with relevant drawings, system specifications, and work reports.

Key Tasks

  • Carrying out composite work and composite repairs
  • Performing simple mechanical work
  • Carrying out simple painting work
  • Independent supervision of assigned orders and projects
  • Signing relevant working papers and independently carrying out follow-up checks
  • Keeping relevant activity records

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need basic technical training as an aircraft fitter, bodywork fitter, plant and equipment fitter, or industrial fitter. Good PC skills, reliability, ability to work in a team, flexibility, and technical aptitude are also essential.

Desirable Skills

  • Independent personality with a willingness to take responsibility
  • Ability to work under pressure and high level of quality awareness
  • Very good written and spoken English, basic knowledge of French or German
  • Experience in aviation is an advantage
