Hydrogen Business Development Specialist

About the Role
Alpiq is seeking a Business Developer Hydrogen to support the company’s growth in Spain. The ideal candidate will identify and develop green hydrogen production projects, develop hydrogen-related commercial activities, and partnerships.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop hydrogen projects targeting industry and heavy mobility applications, analyzing opportunities, building business plans, finding partners, securing fundings from public support schemes, structuring commercial aspects, managing contractual aspects, and contributing to internal investment requests.
- Work closely with country organizations within Alpiq, including Origination and renewable asset development.
- Manage projects stakeholders, including local authorities, clients, partners, and suppliers.
- Coordinate projects with the team responsible for hydrogen technical aspects.
- Report project evolution internally.
- Develop a network in the industry to identify new business opportunities and partnerships.
- Analyze M&A opportunities.
- Follow regulatory developments and perform market intelligence.
- Promote Alpiq hydrogen activities and projects in public forums.
Your Profile
- A Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or related fields from a leading school.
- Ideal postgraduate formation in business administration or finance.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the energy sector in a business development, strategy, or consulting role.
- Solid finance and business development skills, keen eye for opportunities, good intuition, and ability to create and demonstrate value.
- Understanding of the energy sector and a network in the industry.
- Self-motivated, autonomous, ability to motivate others, and work collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Spanish and English: full professional proficiency level.
- Will to travel frequently.
