Senior Research Engineer

In this exciting opportunity as a Senior Research Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team that is shaping the future of data science and machine learning. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions that leverage machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Deliver: You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from building and testing to delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
- Build Scalable ML Solutions: You will create large-scale data processing pipelines to help researchers build and train novel machine learning algorithms. You will develop high-performing, scalable systems in the context of large online delivery environments.

You are a fit for this role if your background includes:
Essential Skills and Experience:- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field: You have a strong foundation in computer science and related fields, with a focus on software engineering and data science.
- At Least 5 Years Software Engineering Experience: You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on machine learning and natural language processing.
- Deep Understanding of Python Software Development Stacks: You have a deep understanding of Python software development stacks and ecosystems, with experience with other programming languages and ecosystems.
- Machine Learning Capabilities: You can understand, apply, integrate, and deploy machine learning capabilities and techniques into other systems.
- Python Data Science Stack: You are familiar with the Python data science stack through exposure to libraries such as Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, Dask, spaCy, NLTK, and scikit-learn.
- Clean, Reusable, Maintainable Code: You take pride in writing clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Desire to Learn and Embrace New Technology: You have a desire to learn and embrace new and emerging technologies.
- Probabilistic Models and Mathematical Concepts: You are familiar with probabilistic models and have an understanding of the mathematical concepts underlying machine learning methods.
- Agile Methodologies: You have familiarity with Agile Methodologies.
- Experience Integrating Machine Learning Solutions: You have experience integrating machine learning solutions into production-grade software and have an understanding of ModelOps and MLOps principles.
- Automation, System Monitoring, and Cloud-Native Applications: You demonstrate proficiency in automation, system monitoring, and cloud-native applications, with familiarity in AWS or Azure (or a related cloud platform).
- Natural Language Processing (NLP) Problems: You have had previous exposure to NLP problems and have familiarity with key tasks such as Named Entity Recognition (NER), Information Extraction, Information Retrieval, etc.
- Language and Methodologies: You can understand and translate between language and methodologies used both in research and engineering fields.
- Machine Learning Solutions to Production-Grade Software: You have been successfully taking and integrating machine learning solutions to production-grade software.
- Programming and Scripting Languages: You have hands-on experience in other programming and scripting languages (Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, etc.).
- Cloud Computing Development: You have exposure to cloud computing development (AWS/Azure).
- Agile Methodologies: You have familiarity with Agile Methodologies.
