Cloud Engineer Networking Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with a focus on networking to join our team at SWITCH. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in building and running the Swiss Research Cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructure
- Develop and maintain networking solutions to support cloud services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services
- Identify and analyze problems, and develop solutions to improve cloud services
- Participate in 2nd/3rd level support and contribute to the improvement of cloud products based on customer feedback
Requirements:
- University degree in Computer Science or comparable qualifications
- Expertise in optimizing software-defined or physical networks
- Experience with OVN and Open Stack networking projects
- Proficiency in Ansible and other automation tools
- Good programming skills in Python or another SRE language
- Knowledge of Linux, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Open Stack, and general SRE practices
