Treasury and Trade Finance Strategist

Key Responsibilities

As a Treasury and Trade Finance Strategist, you will be responsible for managing bilateral financing lines, borrowing base, discounting and factoring facilities. Your tasks will include:

  • Communication with financing banks for onboarding, development, negotiation or terms, deal presentation, and management of repos.
  • Free cash analysis and forecasting, cash management, monitoring cash allocation, active collateral management, and redeveloping Liquidity planning tools.
  • Development of Risk Management Tools and Metrics, defining standards and describing internal processes through Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Generating daily Profit and Loss (P&L) and other reports for Senior Management, valuing the physical book against market and including hedges.
  • Optimizing overall interest costs and banking charges.
  • Daily cross-departmental communication and coordination between Finance, Treasury, Trading, Hedging, Logistic, and Accounting departments.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in trade finance, with other relevant experience in treasury or similar a plus.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Excellent Excel and advanced PowerPoint skills, with other programming languages a plus.
  • A good understanding of hedging, with experience in hedge execution a plus.
  • Good communication skills, both internally and externally.
  • A goal-oriented and dedicated personality.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Self-driven and able to identify opportunities and transform them into results.
  • High ability for networked thinking.
  • Excellent English skills are a must, with any other language an advantage.
  • An existing network within financing banks is a plus.
