Senior Research Officer Cross-Cutting Unit Support

IMPACT Initiatives is a renowned humanitarian organization based in Geneva, Switzerland. With a strong presence in 30 countries, we deliver high-impact research and analysis to inform evidence-based decision-making. Our team comprises experts in data collection, management, and analysis, as well as GIS and remote sensing.
We are seeking a skilled Assessment Officer to support our cross-cutting research portfolios on Afghanistan. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing research cycles, developing project ToRs, and coordinating with data teams to operationalize assessment tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research Cycle Implementation: Support the development of research cycle methodology, design assessment tools, and coordinate with data teams to ensure timely data collection and analysis.
- Project Development: Develop project ToRs, conduct research, and draft relevant outputs, such as factsheets and reports, according to designated timelines.
- Coordination: Internally coordinate and participate in meetings with assessment, data, GIS, programs, and field teams to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
- External Engagement: Engage with external actors, such as working group and cluster coordinators, and present key findings to stakeholders in an engaging manner.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as international studies, development, or humanitarian response.
- 2-4 years of experience in assessments, monitoring and evaluation, research design, and analysis.
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative research data analysis experience required.
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in Dari and Pashto an asset.
- Experience with humanitarian coordination forums and the region preferred.
