Accountant (Entry-Level) Job Description

At Michael Page, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant (Entry-Level) to join our team. As an Accountant (Entry-Level), you will be responsible for daily reconciliation and booking of trading transactions, including bonds, stocks, futures, options, and derivatives. You will also be responsible for daily bank account reconciliation and communication with brokers and banks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Daily Reconciliation and Booking: Reconcile and book trading transactions, including bonds, stocks, futures, options, and derivatives.
  • Bank Account Reconciliation: Reconcile daily bank accounts and communicate with brokers and banks.
  • Month-End Closing: Assist with month-end closing procedures.
  • Year-End Closing: Assist with year-end closing procedures according to IFRS.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices and pay creditors, prepare debtor invoices, and reconcile incoming payments.
  • Employee Expenses and Cost Reporting: Manage employee expenses and cost reporting.
  • Accounting Projects: Participate in accounting projects.
  • Education and Experience: Completed commercial apprenticeship (KV), accounting clerk, and 0-5 years of work experience in accounting and/or the financial industry.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English and German.
  • Technical Skills: Good knowledge of MS Office.
