We are looking for a Production Manager to join our Operations Team based in Zurich. As part of exciting growth, the primary purpose of this role is to be responsible for production meeting customer demand on time, to quality and budget.
The key responsibilities of this position include:
- To ensure that output is aligned to the agreed delivery date to the customer
- To ensure that the product meets the required quality standard
- Manage the Manufacturing Team and support them in meeting their goals and objectives
- Identify staffing levels and training needs necessary to maximise production efficiency
- Lead a culture of continuous improvement and actively encourage participation.
This role requires a master's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering or Physics, experience with low volume, highly complex engineering/production, several years of experience in managing the production and testing of complex high-tech products.

Oxford Instruments is a Swiss high-tech company that develops and sells high resolution, MEMS-based nanoindenters for applications in metallurgy, thin films, and microsystems technology.
The role involves working closely with NPI to ensure the smooth introduction of new products, upgrades, and production changes, measuring, analysing, and reporting KPIs relevant to your area.
As a Production Manager, you will also be responsible for ensuring that Standard Operating Procedures are up to date and that they are being used to ensure consistent quality of products.
