Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Senior Manager who will play a key role in managing our manufacturing operations. This individual will oversee the assets and machines, develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and implement operational processes to ensure compliant, reliable, and efficient manufacturing. The Manufacturing Senior Manager will also actively participate in the manufacturing process, taking a hands-on approach to meet production demands, and will be responsible for managing supplier relationships to ensure a smooth supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing Operations: Manage and optimize the manufacturing process, actively participating in production to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Asset and Machine Management: Oversee and maintain manufacturing assets and machines to ensure they are in good working condition and meet production requirements.
- SOP Development: Create, implement, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to standardize and streamline manufacturing processes.
- Operational Processes: Develop and implement operational processes, including demand planning, production scheduling, inventory management, and supplier coordination, to ensure a steady and reliable manufacturing workflow.
- Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Coordinate procurement activities, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance to ensure a consistent supply of materials and components.
- Compliance: Ensure manufacturing processes and supplier relationships adhere to all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and quality control protocols.
- Team Coordination: Lead and supervise a team of manufacturing support staff, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve production goals.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance protocols to maintain product quality and consistency throughout the manufacturing process.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Excellent spoken and written English and German.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with a proven track record of leadership.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, and equipment.
- Experience in developing and implementing SOPs and operational processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience working in an agile startup environment is a plus.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and quality control standards.
