Global Transformation Expert Distribution Transformers

About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled Global Process Expert to join our Distribution Transformers team. As a key member of our Global Process Improvement team, you will be responsible for driving sustainable and transformational change across multiple transformers factories, focusing on safety, quality, and improvement of the winding processes and equipment.


You will work closely with distribution transformer factories worldwide, collaborating on process improvement projects, including new investments and transfer of production between locations. Your expertise will be shared through global trainings to local process engineers.


Your Key Responsibilities



  • Define global production standards and key equipment specifications for distribution transformers.
  • Drive automation and digitalization, supporting the global rollout of the MES system.
  • Develop partnerships with global suppliers for key equipment, in collaboration with the category manager and supply quality manager.
  • Develop standard equipment requirements, linked to process performance and critical to quality characteristics.
  • Provide expert support to factories in emergency equipment and process issues.
  • Support factories in process improvement activities, equipment investments, and upgrades, as well as equipment relocations.
  • Conduct factory assessments and implement the global manufacturing platform, driving implementation in a systematic manner.
  • Develop and update documentation, including production standards, quality inspection cards, and user manuals.
  • Optimize and improve asset utilization, ensuring the lowest cost while meeting quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Develop and provide solutions for key technology and process challenges.

Your Background



  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering university degree.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of work experience in operations, preferably in a Transformers business.
  • Knowledge of designing and building industrial equipment.
  • Experience working with equipment suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and systemic problem-solving skills, with a clear passion for developing and driving change.
  • International experience, working with different countries and cultures.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, with excellent communication skills.
  • 30-50% willingness to travel.
