About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Platform Architect to join our team at Digitec Galaxus AG. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable data platform solutions.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and develop large-scale data platforms utilizing infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
  • Implement federated data governance measures with support from our Data Architect and Data Protection Officer.
  • Enable data scientists, analysts, and machine learning engineers to discover, ingest, and exchange data.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance our data platform.

Requirements

  • A higher specialized education in computer science or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Data Platform Engineer or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and software design best practices.
  • DevOps skills, including hands-on experience with CI/CD, infrastructure automation, configuration management, and deployment tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Airflow.
  • Solid understanding of cloud technologies, distributed systems, and data processing frameworks such as Spark and Kafka.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in English.

Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is CHF 120,000 - CHF 150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
