Data Platform Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced Data Platform Team Lead to join our team at Digitec Galaxus AG. As a key member of our data platform team, you will be responsible for leading the development and operation of our data platform solutions.
Responsibilities- Lead a team of data engineers and devops professionals to design, develop, and operate scalable data platform solutions.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to promote professional and individual growth and development.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to understand data requirements and ensure data accessibility and quality.
- Implement data security and privacy measures to protect sensitive information.
- Design and develop large-scale data platforms and infrastructure, including experience with CI/CD, infrastructure automation, configuration management, and deployment tools.
- Optimize and tune data platform for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, data focused area or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and experience leading teams.
- DevOps skills, including experience with CI/CD, infrastructure automation, configuration management, and deployment tools.
- Experience in designing and building large-scale data platforms and infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, data processing frameworks, and cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with data warehouse solutions and ETL/ELT processes & tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in English and German.
