Amazon Data Services Switzerland GmbH is looking for a seasoned Data Center Operations professional to lead our infrastructure management team in Zurich.
As an experienced technology manager, you will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to drive excellence in data center operations. Your extensive knowledge of IT operations and service management practices will be instrumental in mentoring a team of technical professionals to support this work.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide a team of technical professionals to support data center operations, ensuring adherence to the highest safety standards and encouraging a world-class safety culture.
- Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators, regularly reviewing ticket queues for large events and acting accordingly.
- Edit, train, and guide data center operations technicians in best practices relating to resolving service owner issues.
- Manage and deliver mid-size projects, recommending, writing, and overseeing policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and the required Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Maintain the on-call schedule, coordinate absence and vacations to ensure 24/7 operations, and participate in on-call rotation for emergency calls.
