We are seeking a Legally-Savvy IP Specialist to join our team at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland.

About the Role

This Fellowship opportunity is part of the WIPO Domain Name Fellowship Program, which aims to develop the skills and expertise of law graduates in intellectual property and alternative dispute resolution. As a Legal Case Manager, you will contribute to the administration of domain name cases across various languages, translating case working documents and web resources as required. You will also update data in the domain name Case Management System, undertake research projects as needed, and carry out other activities in the Center's areas of work.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A degree in law;
  • At least 6 months of relevant work experience in a law firm and/or legal department or enforcement agency, including experience in intellectual property law or alternative dispute resolution;
  • Excellent written and spoken knowledge of English;
  • Broad understanding of intellectual property and alternative dispute resolution;
  • Good understanding of the procedures applicable to the work;
  • Self-starter able to manage self and workload without constant supervision;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Flexibility and team spirit; Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure;
  • Ease and tact in personal contacts at all levels;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain effective partnerships and working relations in a multi-cultural environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
Benefits

The salary for this Fellowship is CHF 5,000 monthly. We also provide contribution towards travel expenses, assistance in obtaining an entry visa to Switzerland, medical insurance, and professional accident insurance coverage during the course of the fellowship.
