Superintendent - Environment

Glencore's McArthur River Mine is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Superintendent to lead our Environmental department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and environmentally responsible operation of our mine.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-class mining operation and contribute to our commitment to environmental sustainability. As Superintendent, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing environmental policies and procedures
  • Leading a team of environmental professionals to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Coordinating environmental monitoring and reporting
  • Providing technical support to the management team on environmental issues
  • Developing and implementing rehabilitation plans for the mine
What We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual with a strong background in environmental management. The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree in a relevant field (e.g. environmental science, environmental engineering)
  • Extensive experience in environmental management, preferably in a mining or heavy industry setting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OH&S and environmental legislation
  • Proven experience leading a team and developing and implementing environmental policies and procedures
