Claims Leadership Expert

Our Claims team is at the forefront of excellence. We're seeking a seasoned Claims professional to lead our Property, Construction, Marine, and Art Claims Team. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for driving consistency and managing performance in Switzerland, ensuring superior client service delivery with a focus on continuous improvement and maximizing shared service opportunities in support of our claims strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the Property, Construction, Marine & Art Claims Team (7 colleagues), driving consistency and managing performance in Switzerland, ensuring superior client service delivery.
- Supervise specific Property, Construction, Marine & Art accounts and work closely with client representatives and brokers, supporting all claims to their ultimate resolution and best possible outcome.
- Independently investigate, negotiate, and settle assigned Property & Construction claims promptly and equitably within provisions, authority level, and specialization.
- Proactively manage assigned Property & Construction claims, setting and implementing case strategies under the direction of local Head of Claims, Practice Leaders, and Claims Legal, partnering with internal and external counsel in setting and pursuing effective and cost-efficient litigation strategies.
- Proactively manage expenses through thoughtful expense management and claims best practices.
- Interact and cooperate actively with our international claims network and other core business functions.
- Coordinate and manage communication with internal and external stakeholders (underwriting, brokers, reinsurers, external vendors) to ensure the highest level of customer service.
- Produce internal reporting in support of best practice and reserving guidelines, following the AXA XL Claim Alert process.
- At least 10 years of experience in the national or international insurance industry.
- Leadership: Role model by setting a high bar for performance, engagement, and commitment; significant experience managing a team of experts.
- Strong communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, presentation, and influencing and negotiation skills.
- Seasoned in the handling of Property & Construction claims, working knowledge of applicable regulations; extensive experience managing, negotiating, and resolving high exposure and complex claims.
- Fluent in German and English; any other European language is an advantage.
- Willingness to work independently with significant contact with the business and customers in an international, matrix-organized, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
- Up-to-date knowledge of claims handling, administration systems, and processes.
