As an Electronics Engineer at CERN, you'll be working with a talented team of scientists and engineers to design, develop, and deploy high-performance digital electronics systems for beam instrumentation. You'll be responsible for the entire life cycle of these systems, from initial concept to final commissioning and operation.
Your Responsibilities- You will lead the development of high-speed readout electronics and software for beam instrumentation based on Timepix3/4 hybrid pixel detectors.
- You will participate in the long-term strategy to exploit hybrid pixel detector technology for beam instrumentation applications.
- You will be responsible for the hardware commissioning, maintenance, and operational support of beam instrumentation for secondary beamlines in the Experimental Areas.
- You will identify emerging particle sensor and electronic technologies with potential applications for beam instrumentation and take part in defining the R&D roadmap.
- You will carry out technical design phase work, lead studies needed to finalize the design, up to the drafting of the technical design specifications and reports including procurement.
- You will manage projects with responsibility for budget, planning, and the supervision of graduates and students.
