Visionary Retail Design Project Manager for Global Brand Revitalization

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Visionary Retail Design Project Manager to spearhead our company's global retail design initiatives.

This key role will be responsible for defining and executing the design strategy for our retail environments, ensuring each location reflects our brand's heritage, values, and aesthetic while optimizing customer experience and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic and visionary leader with a deep understanding of branding, excellent project management skills, and the ability to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and customer-centric solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Define and lead the store design strategy, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and global standards.
  • Integrate innovative design trends and sustainability practices into our retail environments.
  • Oversee the creation of concept designs, layout plans, and schematic design packages for new stores, remodels, and renovations, ensuring the highest standards of design and execution.
  • Partner with internal teams (merchandising, operations, marketing) and external vendors (architects, engineers, consultants) to create cohesive, functional, and visually compelling retail environments.
  • Manage multiple store design projects simultaneously from concept to completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery while maintaining high design standards.
  • Ensure all retail environments reflect the company's brand identity, values, and customer experience goals, while tailoring solutions to local markets as needed.
  • Develop and maintain global store design playbooks, guidelines, and standards to ensure design consistency across all regions and markets.
  • Drive innovation in store design with a focus on sustainability, new materials, and technologies that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in retail store design, space planning, and project management.
  • Proven expertise in designing and executing retail design projects, remodels, and new retail environments on a global scale.
  • Strong design portfolio showcasing expertise in retail environments.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Smartsheet or similar tools.
  • Experience working with sustainability principles and implementing environmentally responsible design solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and manage relationships with external vendors and partners.
  • Good understanding of building codes, permitting processes, and construction best practices.
  • Detail-oriented, problem-solver, and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
