Bioprocess Engineer Team Lead

We're currently seeking a Team Lead to join our Biologics organization in, responsible for managing and coaching a team of bioprocess engineers. The successful candidate will oversee the MES automation of manufacturing processes, MSAT activities, and the creation and improvement of electronic master recipes on equipment. They will also be accountable for the performance and results of assigned projects, interacting with an interdisciplinary team of project leaders, supervisors, and specialists.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a team of automation process engineers and MSATs, responsible for human resource management, qualification, development, coaching, hiring, pay decisions, and discipline issues.
- Implement the Lonza culture, promoting openness to change, new ideas, cooperative teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Accountable for the execution of all production campaigns in the manufacturing unit, ensuring safety, quality, and delivery.
- First contact person for production issues in the manufacturing unit, according to common escalation guidelines.
- Collaborate with Production Support, QA, and production teams to find solutions and troubleshoot issues.
- Represent the operational area in customer meetings, audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or related disciplines.
- Working experience in biotechnical manufacturing.
- MES and DeltaV experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to interact with various interfaces within the organization.
- Strong team orientation, structured working attitude, and open-mindedness to new ideas.
- Agile, motivated, and dynamic drive, with a solution-oriented approach.
- Business fluency in German and/or English.
