Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Reservation Agent to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our hotel operations, you will be responsible for processing all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Identify guest reservation needs and determine the most suitable room type to meet their requirements.
- Verify availability of room types and rates, and communicate this information to guests in a clear and concise manner.
- Explain hotel policies, including guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies, to guests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Accommodate and document special requests, such as room upgrades or amenities, to ensure a positive guest experience.
- Answer questions about hotel facilities and services, as well as room accommodations, to provide guests with a comprehensive understanding of our offerings.
- Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue and ensure that all guests are offered the best possible rate.
- Input and access data in the reservation system to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Indicate special room reservation types, such as complimentary rooms or employee discounts, by inputting the correct code and rate into the reservation system.
- Follow proper escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns to ensure a prompt and satisfactory resolution.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- No related work experience required, but previous customer service experience is an asset.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No license or certification required.
