About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal System Analyst to join our team at Unisite AG. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our research and development teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • IT Consultancy and Support: Provide technical guidance and support to research scientists globally, with a focus on supporting our business units in Switzerland.
  • System Analysis and Design: Take on a role as system analyst or system engineer for IT solutions, including system configuration, design, and development.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Develop and maintain productive and constructive relationships with key business contacts, and actively collaborate with IT service teams, research units, and external vendors.
  • Analysis and Problem-Solving: Analyze, interpret, and identify trends, and address corrective actions to management.
  • IT Service Design and Implementation: Design, architecture, and implement IT services, IT systems, or IT components following our defined process framework.
  • Leadership and Teamwork: Lead and participate in global product/project teams, and provide maintenance, optimization, innovation, and 3rd-level support for implemented and/or assigned solutions.
  • System Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot system problems that have been escalated.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Determine documentation requirements and produce documentation as required in support of baseline and project activities.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field, and advanced degree a plus. Experience in IT support for research and development systems, especially in the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Technical Skills: Working experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java), database technology (e.g., PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle), and operation systems (e.g., Linux, Windows).
  • Project Management: Experience with IT project management, certificate in project management, CPI, or Scrum a plus.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English and German (oral and written).
  • Soft Skills: Ability to work effectively and independently or as a team member, act proactively with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility, and have strong communication skills with a passion for working in a virtual, international, multicultural, and diversity environment.
