Senior IT Support Specialist

As a Senior IT Support Specialist at Aptiv, you will play a pivotal role in launching our new corporate office in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Your responsibilities will include engaging with employees at various levels, including VP levels, to ensure they have seamless access to the IT resources they need to excel in their roles.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing exceptional IT support to Aptiv's Vice Presidents and their teams, including immediate assistance with technical issues and escalations.
  • Working with vendors to remediate issues with audio visual tools as needed.
  • Providing timely communication on issue status and resolution.
  • Maintaining ticket updates for all reported incidents.
  • Installing, upgrading, supporting, and troubleshooting laptops, desktops, Windows 10 and above OS, Office/M365, MS Teams, MS Teams Rooms, Zoom, Webex.
  • Installing, upgrading, supporting, and troubleshooting printers, computer hardware.
  • Supporting remote and on-site meetings, including video conferences, ensuring seamless connectivity, audiovisual equipment setup, and technical assistance as needed.
  • Performing general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers.
  • Performing remedial repairs on any other authorized peripheral equipment, such as wireless keyboards, cameras, and mice.
  • Using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems associated with network connectivity and workstation hardware/software.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of IT experience with a focus on executive-level support.
  • Fluent in both English and German.
  • Windows 10 and above, Microsoft Active Directory, utilization of GPOs, MS Office 365/M365, Intune, Autopilot, PC hardware installation and troubleshooting, Enterprise anti-virus solutions, helpdesk ticketing systems.
  • CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or better.
  • Mobile device management including IOS and Android devices, enterprise encryption solutions (Bitlocker), Windows PC/laptop management via Active Directory and Intune.
  • Basic knowledge of Mac operating system, to support Apple PC users.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, effectively determine priorities, and meet SLA's.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with senior leadership.
  • Willing to work off-hours and weekends when required for projects or emergency support.
