Job Overview

IMPACT Initiatives is seeking a skilled Geospatial Analyst Intern to support our team in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt).

The successful candidate will assist in geospatial analysis and mapping to support research products for oPt, working closely with our GIS Officer and HQ Remote Sensing Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop geo-spatial analysis of assessment areas to inform daily assessment plans and field movement plans.
  • Support the planning and development of satellite-based modeling techniques to highlight hazards and risks in the region.
  • Conduct spatial analysis on collected data and ensure the quality and accuracy of technical information provided.
Requirements
  • Academic: Excellent academic qualifications, preferably including a master's degree in GIS.
  • Research skills: Demonstrable experience with geo-spatial information management and analysis.
  • Software skills: Advanced knowledge of ArcGIS and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
