We are seeking a highly accomplished Chief AI Researcher and Leadership Expert to join our team at ZHAW. As a Senior Lecturer and Team Lead for Reinforcement Learning for Robotics and Autonomous Systems, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our research centre's future.
Job DescriptionThis demanding expert leadership position involves developing and teaching modules in Computer Science and Data Science, as well as leading a research group with sustainable growth through successful funding acquisition. You will be responsible for the management of activities at the Centre for Artificial Intelligence (CAI) and take the initiative in specialist committees, associations, and the public.
Requirements- You have a university degree with a doctorate in computer science or a related field, specializing in artificial intelligence/machine learning as it applies to robotics.
- You possess several years of professional experience in specialist and preferably leadership positions in industry, with a track record in the acquisition and management of complex research projects.
- You have an excellent international reputation in applied sciences, driving programs and projects at the CAI, with a strong network in Switzerland and Europe.
- You are fluent in English and ideally have written and spoken German language skills.
We offer a competitive salary of CHF 120'000 - 150'000 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience. You will also enjoy a great deal of freedom regarding working hours and locations, with up to 50% home office possible.
