Cloud-Specialized Generative AI Engineer

As a Senior Staff Software Engineer on Google Cloud's AI team, you will play a critical role in developing innovative technologies that transform the way billions of users interact with information and each other.
We're seeking engineers who bring fresh ideas and expertise in areas like machine learning, natural language processing, and software development. You will work on a specific project that drives business growth and innovation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Assess the technological fit of Generative AI innovations to meet the needs of Cloud customers across various industries.
- Prototype and iterate on solutions, working closely with customers, product management, and business development.
- Design new systems and algorithms using existing pre-trained models and training new models by defining training/evaluation sets and objectives.
- Build alignment among multiple teams to develop a complex solution.
- Own quality evaluation of model outputs and plan and execute strategies for model quality improvements.
