Job Title: Electrical Equipment Expert
Job Summary:
CERN is seeking an Electrical Equipment Expert to join its Maintenance and Operation section. The successful candidate will be responsible for the life-cycle management of low voltage equipment and maintaining and operating a portion of CERN's high and low voltage electrical network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the supply contract for low voltage equipment, including regular follow-up with service providers and after-sales service.
- Carry out necessary procurement actions, such as specific orders or framework contracts.
- Draw up technical specifications and tendering documents for the maintenance contract.
- Define the equipment and asset management strategy in CERN's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Provide expertise for corrective or preventive maintenance, or in the event of failure analysis.
- Organize equipment drawings and as-built documentation.
- Develop consolidation proposals to ensure the ongoing reliability and availability of equipment.
- Participate in project planning and execution, providing technical inputs and support.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in equipment and technologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Proven knowledge of electrical equipment associated with low and high voltage electrical networks.
- Proven experience in contract management.
- Proficiency in utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Proven experience in the operation and maintenance of electrical equipment composing high and low voltage electrical networks.

- Contract management, including follow-up of technical and financial aspects of a contract.
- Operation and maintenance of electrical circuits and networks.

Language Skills:
Spoken and written English: Ability to draw-up technical specifications and/or scientific reports and to make oral presentations in English. Ability to understand and speak French in professional contexts would be an advantage.
