About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Engineer to join our Technology & Platforms department at Vontobel Holding AG. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our database platforms, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement database solutions using Oracle and MS SQL Server technologies
  • Develop and maintain database platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
  • Perform performance tuning and optimization tasks to ensure optimal database performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement business-critical database solutions
  • Provide automation and self-service capabilities for internal customers
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and trends, applying knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
Requirements
  • Strong background in computer science or a related field
  • Extensive experience with enterprise platforms and database technologies, particularly Oracle and MS SQL Server
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
