Software Engineer with Focus on Frontend Expertise

At Gi Group SA, we are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technology team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the front-end of our client's software applications.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a strong focus on front-end development. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing innovative front-end solutions using cutting-edge technologies such as Storyblok (Astro), Next.js, and React.
  • Collaborating closely with our UX team to create user-friendly interfaces that meet the highest standards of usability and accessibility.
  • Providing support with backend development as needed to ensure seamless integration and efficient system performance.
  • Continuously improving usability through innovative approaches and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices.
  • Carrying out thorough testing and quality assurance measures to ensure the highest level of quality and reliability.
  • Sharing knowledge and expertise with the team to drive innovation and growth.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A completed computer science degree or equivalent training.
  • Proven experience in developing web applications with Storyblok (Astro), Next.js, and React; knowledge of Java and Spring Boot is an added advantage.
  • A consistent working method with networked, goal-oriented thinking.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
  • Enthusiasm for container technologies and platforms (Kubernetes).
  • An ability to work effectively in an agile environment (knowledge of Scrum and/or SAFe).
