We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Mechanics Expert to join our team at the Institute for Materials and Process Engineering (IMES) at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects and contribute to the development of innovative structural mechanics solutions.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing courses in engineering mechanics, leading R&D projects, and expanding the competencies in lightweight design within the IMES strategy. Additionally, you will participate in the management of the LWD group as a member of the management team.
About You:
To be considered for this role, you should have a university degree in engineering or natural sciences, preferably with a focus on structural mechanics. A doctorate in a related field is also desirable. You should have several years of experience in industry, particularly in the automotive, railway vehicle, or aerospace sectors, with a strong track record of successfully managing complex research projects.
Key Requirements:
- Expertise in structural mechanics, lightweight design, and numerical methods
- Proven ability to manage large-scale research projects
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
What We Offer:
As a Structural Mechanics Expert at ZHAW, you can expect a competitive salary of approximately CHF 80,000 - CHF 100,000 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience.
