Toxicology Expert

We are aQuaTox-Solutions GmbH, dedicated to animal and environmental protection. Our services involve analysing the toxicity of chemicals and environmental samples using alternatives to conventional tests with fish. We utilize permanent fish cell lines and fish embryos for this purpose.

We aim to strengthen our team of toxicology experts in the area of animal replacement in risk assessments. To achieve this goal, we seek an expert who can join us as a Study Director:

• Take responsibility for leading GLP and non-GLP studies in the field of alternatives to animal testing with fish, particularly with regards to conducting tests according to OECD TG249 and 236.
• Lead R&D projects and collaborate with internal teams and external partners nationally and internationally.
• Communicate effectively with clients to ensure excellent study outcomes and timely completion, including providing study plans and reports.

You will:

• Manage technical leadership and responsibility for scientific research and development.
• Contribute to the further development of our testing portfolio and client relationships.

The ideal candidate brings:

• A PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Toxicology or Environmental Sciences with strong scientific background and practical experience in in vitro and/or in vivo procedures, with prior work on vertebrate cells or fish embryos being an advantage.
• Proven technical leadership skills and openness to share knowledge and expertise.
• Prior experience in a Contract Research Organization (CRO) working under GLP is a significant asset.
• Excellent communication skills, service orientation, and teamwork abilities.
• Fluency in spoken and written English, with knowledge of other languages being a plus.
