About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Consultant to join our team at HR Talent House SA. As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting our clients with your extensive actuarial expertise in the non-life insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead actuarial and interdisciplinary projects as the main point of contact for our clients and team members.
  • Technical Expertise: Oversee the examination of our clients' technical insurance reserves according to statutory and IFRS accounting standards, as well as regulatory audits.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Advise internal and external stakeholders on non-life actuarial topics, including actuarial reserving, pricing, IFRS 17, risk capital modeling under SST/Solvency II, and validation of complex stochastic models.
  • Team Collaboration: Utilize your technical knowledge in interdisciplinary project teams to modernize insurance processes and systems.
  • Business Development: Develop new and existing client relationships, and be present both internally within PwC and externally in the market to support clients and identify new market opportunities.
  • Service Development: Contribute to the development of PwC's actuarial services and expand our service offerings.
  • Personal and Professional Growth: Work within a diverse international team and receive regular coaching from colleagues and supervisors. Continuously develop both technically and personally through internal and external training and development programs.
Requirements
  • A good university degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or natural sciences.
  • 4-6 years of relevant actuarial experience in the non-life insurance market, either in (re)insurance companies or in consulting.
  • Qualification as a SAV actuary or an equivalent foreign qualification, or nearing the completion of actuarial training.
  • Practical professional knowledge in non-life actuarial fields such as reserving, pricing, risk modeling, validation, product development, or similar areas.
  • In-depth experience in non-life reserving or financial auditing is an advantage.
  • A team player, open to new challenges, flexible, and enjoys working in an entrepreneurial and interdisciplinary environment.
  • Highly committed, team-oriented, and possessing a diligent, solution-oriented, and efficient working style with strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Affinity for data and IT, knowledge of programming, financial mathematics, and accounting is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and social skills.
  • Initial leadership and project management experience.
  • Proficient in German and English, both written and spoken; knowledge of French is an advantage.
