Senior Manager for Environmental Sustainability and Governance

ESG Reporting and Strategy Lead Role

We are seeking an experienced ESG Reporting and Strategy Lead to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

This critical role will be responsible for coordinating internal partners and helping external stakeholders understand our priorities and progress.

The ideal candidate will thrive in an entrepreneurial and matrixed environment, communicate clearly, early and frequently, and have demonstrated the capacity to assess and navigate competitive, regulatory, and reputational dynamics.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Centralizing and contextualizing the company's ESG roadmap, translating it into project plans that advance initiatives and drive accountability for results
  • Regularly coordinating and communicating with subject matter experts to lead well-planned, cross-functional initiatives that engage various teams, including legal, finance, sustainability, human resources, sourcing, and communications
  • Leading end-to-end development of annual CSR reports and actively engaging on other corporate publications, regulatory filings, and ESG content and communications
  • Coordinating CSRD compliance assessments to prioritize ESG impacts, risks, and opportunities
  • Partnering with IT and finance to strengthen data management, controls, and disclosure procedures
  • Managing ESG ratings and rankings performance through a standardized process
  • Managing CSR associates and ensuring timely and accurate responses to stakeholder inquiries

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in ESG, sustainability, or corporate strategy, with outstanding written communication skills and a proven track record of leading complex reporting projects.
