Sécheron Hasler Group, a leading global supplier of electrical and electronic safety components and solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Geneva.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Overview

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Sécheron Hasler Group, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex mechanical systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the company's operational excellence.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design for Manufacturing: Develop cost-efficient and robust solutions for manufacturing, considering factors such as material selection, assembly processes, and tolerancing.
  • Concept Development: Convert advanced concepts into practical designs, leveraging expertise in finite element analysis, simulation, and testing.
  • Review and Challenge: Critically review and challenge concepts and drawings produced by others, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Serve as a reference and coach for robust design principles, sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
  • Product Support: Collaborate with multi-department teams to support existing products, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
Requirements
  • Education: Master or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Microtechnics, or Mechatronics (or similar field).
  • Technical Skills: Tolerance management, robust design, design-to-cost, finite element analysis (SolidWorks, Comsol, Ansys), and development of complex systems involving different technologies.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English (required), French (desired), and German (welcome).
