Helvetia Insurance Group seeks an experienced leader to oversee the technical portfolio management framework for its non-life business.

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned professional with broad experience in direct and indirect leadership, as well as extensive knowledge of underwriting portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive technical portfolio management framework for the non-life business.
  • Monitor and support the implementation and further development of portfolio management processes across market units.
  • Provide expertise and advice on portfolio structure, methodology, and quantitative and qualitative dimensions.
  • Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and risks of portfolios and initiate corresponding measures.
  • Manage and coordinate processes between market units and the Group regarding portfolio management.
  • Lead international teams and manage interfaces with specialist units and market units.
Requirements
  • Established leadership experience with a track record in profitability and portfolio management.
  • Many years of experience in managing underwriting portfolios, preferably in line of business head or portfolio management/actuarial functions.
  • Reflective and communicative personality with a contextual understanding of success.
  • Skilled in maintaining relationships across different levels and countries.
  • Internationally mobile with proficiency in German, English, Spanish; French and/or Italian are an advantage.

We estimate the annual salary for this role to be around €120,000 - €150,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
