About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Avionics Systems Engineer to join our team at Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. As an Avionics Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and management of avionics systems integration into our Trainer Aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, development, and management of avionics systems integration into the Trainer Aircraft
  • Responsibility for aircraft level system developments
  • Compilation and review of test requirements and support to ground/flight testing
  • Preparation and review of system requirement documents and certification engineering reports as well as analysis of in-service problems and definition of solutions
  • Liaising with external suppliers and certification authorities on a technical level
  • Support to the production line and customer support organisations

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience designing and developing integrated avionics systems, e.g. electronic displays, navigation, communication and utilities systems, and aircraft electrical power systems
  • Knowledge of FAA/EASA certification requirements
  • Fluency in English (C1) with good communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under challenging timescales in a dynamic and responsive environment
  • Ability to deal with different stakeholders in a multicultural organization
